Privacy Policy

dIKta.me takes your privacy seriously. Here's the short version:

The desktop app is air-gapped. It does not phone home, collect telemetry, or transmit your voice data anywhere.

This policy covers how the dIKta.me website and optional cloud features handle your data.

The Desktop App

The dIKta.me Windows application processes all voice data locally on your machine. No audio recordings or transcriptions are sent to any server unless you explicitly enable cloud features (wallet mode with Deepgram/Gemini). API keys are stored using OS-level AES-256 encryption. Local Whisper processing never contacts external services.

The Website

This website (dikta.me) collects minimal data necessary for operation:

  • Account data: If you create an account (email, name), it's stored in Supabase (our auth provider)
  • Waitlist: Name and email if you join the waiting list
  • Analytics: Vercel Speed Insights for Core Web Vitals (no personal data, no cookies)

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not use tracking cookies.

Optional Cloud Features

If you choose to use wallet-based cloud features:

  • Audio is sent to Deepgram for STT processing, subject to Deepgram's privacy policy
  • Text may be sent to Google Gemini Flash for LLM processing, subject to Google's terms
  • Wallet transactions are processed through our Supabase edge functions

Cloud features are entirely optional. The app works fully offline with local models.

Newsletter & Email Marketing

We run a first-party newsletter that delivers new blog posts directly to your inbox. Subscribing is always optional, requires your explicit action, and can be undone instantly.

What we collect when you subscribe

  • Your email address and preferred language.
  • Your IP address, browser user-agent, and the page you subscribed from — kept as an audit record of consent.
  • The version of the consent text you agreed to, and the timestamps of your subscribe, confirm, and unsubscribe actions.

Legal basis: your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time with one click; we keep only the minimum record needed to prove you consented.

We retain your subscription data for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a short suppression window after you unsubscribe to prevent accidental re-mailing. Hard-bounced and complained addresses are auto-suppressed.

You can access, export, or delete all your subscriber data at any time from the preference center linked in every email footer. Deletion is irreversible and anonymizes your row while keeping a minimal audit trail as required by law.

Our email delivery processor is Resend (resend.com), which is GDPR-compliant and covered by a signed Data Processing Agreement. We do not use open-tracking pixels. Click tracking is disabled by default.

Your Data, Your Control

  • You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard
  • All associated data will be permanently removed
  • Local app data stays on your machine and is never uploaded
